PI SONG

Verse:
Mrs. Walsh what can I turn to.
You give me something I can make circles with.
I think you'll know it's like no other number before.
Who saw your name and number on the wall.

Pre-chorus:
Mrs. Walsh I got your number.
I need to make some pie.
Mrs. Walsh don't change your number . . .

Chorus:
3.14259 (repeat)

Verse:
Pi Pi you're the number for me.
You don't know but you make me so happy.
I tried to use you before but I lost my nerve.
I tried apple and cherry but the best pi I ever tried was 3.14159!

Pre-chorus:
Mrs. Walsh I got your number.
I need to make some pie.
Mrs. Walsh don't change your number . . .

Chorus:
3.14259 (repeat)

"There is geometry in the humming of strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres."
Pythagoras

Student's Theorem:

"If a triangle lies within another triangle such that the corresponding sides of one are parallel to the corresponding sides of the other, then the triangles are similar."

Can you prove this?!

"Pi r squared.
Not true. Pi r round.
Pi r not squared,
Cornbread r squared!"

 PI DAY GEOMETRY SONG

verse:
She was lying on the floor, drawing circles.
She hadn't bee a virgin and he hadn't been a god.
So she named the baby Euclid
to make uo for the royalty he lacked.

chorus:
From then on she was studying her circles
From then on she's been memorizing pi.
She was just a girl playing with numbers.
Because that's all she knows how to play.

These two PI DAY songs were written by students in CP Geometry A, 3/14/2007.
